A friend called a little while ago and said "I've had a sudden idea!"
The result is that I will be catching a train around 4:30 this afternoon to visit the "Hatazawa Hyatt-Weston" to watch the Royal Wedding and then tomorrow a nice breakfast and some shopping before returning to Ichikawa and packing.
Some days it really pays to be flexible!

I totally forgot the wedding (assisted by the disinterest of the men at our house.) So we went off to Hirosaki shopping (wireless arrangement to use down in Iwate) and then to sushi ... and we thought yo-zakura. But the shopping took forever and by the time we finished our sushi it was raining.
Scrapped the yozakura and came home to look at reruns of wedding guests I couldn't recognize... sigh... I hope you enjoyed it for me!
What a tonic! I feel relaxed, well-fed, pampered and loved. Best one- day vacation I think I've ever had! Back home again now amid the packing mess - I haven't turned the lights on yet. (If I can't see it, maybe it isn't there.)
